Ramanagaram Urban Co -operative Bank limited started as Primary Credit Society vide ಸಸನಿರಾ/46/ನೋಂದಣಿ/20874/1994-95 dated 14/12/1994 by Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies. Ramanagarm Sub – division, Bangalore Rural District.
The permission to start banking vide UBD.KAN.1122P dated 08/03/1995 by RBI. Urban Banks Department Central Office, Bombay. The Bank started functioning on 22/01/1996. The jurisdiction of the Bank is limited to the Municipal limit of the Town of Ramanagara.
As on March 31, 2021 the Bank has a membership of 2462, which comprises regular membership of 2156 and associate membership of 306.
VISION
Our is a humble step towards inculcating banking habits of the local people. The founders had a goal to free people from the clutches of the local money lenders.
The journey towards this started in the year 1996. We are still an Unit Bank with very modest means & thin capital. Our journey would continue to achieve greater hights of capital formation and financial servicing of the members of the Bank.
Our vision is to be considered as one of the best among the financial institutes.

We would strive to survive in the present scenario of huge competition and recurring financial constraints due to the pandemic.
We must struggle to compete within the banking competitors. It is an uneven ground. Our competitors are big in terms of resources and technology.
We would try to catch with our competitors by sheer hard work and the best customer’s service.
